Delta, Gambit, and Reese continue to show what a great group they are as they spend quality time together in and outside of sessions.
Since living in the same lagoon together, Gambit, Pax, and Talon have shown staff how similar they are as brothers (especially in the group of six boys).
Delta, Gambit, and Jax have been enjoying having access to the shallow pool on their side of the causeway by making fun games with their trainers by going back and forth through the gate.
Gambit is sticking to his new year resolution to become better at beaching. On his last chance to be weighed, Gambit came up further on the scale than he has ever been!
Gambit’s 2025 Resolution: To be able to beach like my big brothers.
More recently, Gambit, Sandy, and Jax have been enjoying hanging out together both in-and-out of sessions. Jax and Sandy seem to be a calming presence for Sandy in the lagoon.
Ad-Libbing is the name of the game for Gambit, Louie, and Sandy. You will likely see them jumping and squealing at some point when you visit DRC. Gambit and Louie love to splash, Sandy showed that he still wins in creativity when he showed off a vertical spin into a breach.
Since moving in with the little boy crew, Sandy has chosen to sit next to Gambit and Louie during sessions. Recently, some trainers have noticed Louie and Gambit picking up on Sandy’s tactile. They have been noted for copying talk, tummy, and shark from Sandy!
Since our last update, Gambit and Reese moved over the causeway to join the side with the big boys. The little guys have been becoming used to living in the big lagoon on the right side. The younger boys are still enjoying learning about their new lagoon.
Jax usually gets the special honor of meeting wounded warriors when they come to DRC, as there is the possibility that they can relate to each other. With the last group that came in, Gambit was excited to be with Jax when they both put their tails in the warrior's lap to show the difference between their flukes. They both took off on a victory lap, once the warriors had a good look at their tails.
Gambit, Jax and Reese helped with our very first Dolphin Academy program! They aided with the training portion as the students put their knowledge of training to use working with all three boys training the behavior of “the world’s longest dolphin”.
