Pax

Adopt MeGift Me a Bucket of Fish!

Keep being an ambassador for dolphins everywhere.

Talon and Pax enjoyed meeting some friends from Europe who had seen them 15 years ago! They also had the pleasure of introducing them to their younger brother, Gambit.

Pax and Talon have been having an enriching time practicing their gating! The boys have been moving in a circle through the lagoons on the right side of the causeway for different projects and will then go back the other way, keeping their days interesting and unusual.

Since living in the same lagoon together, Gambit, Pax, and Talon have shown staff how similar they are as brothers (especially in the group of six boys).

Pax, Talon, and Tursi can be quite vocal and often surprise guests with how loud their sounds can be. When anyone in this family gets excited or would like some extra attention, they make sure to let us hear about it!

Continuing to show they are our proud alpha males, Talon and Pax reminded everyone just how big they are when Talon weighed in at almost 610 pounds and Pax at over 620 pounds!

Pax’s 2025 Resolution: To make my dad proud and be the best alpha I can be. Just like he was!

Pax and Talon are having fun with new training that will be beneficial for their physical fitness. Pax is starting off with a brand new behavior for him, his own belly flop! Talon is revisiting a behavior known as his banana jump!

Pax is one of the best divers and the best breacher. He can soar super high and then come back down doing a spectacular cannonball-like behavior. His only rival in skill is possibly Santini.

Flagler and Pax don’t live together anymore, but that doesn’t mean they don’t interact! Outside of a session, they were seen tossing a ball back and forth to each other across the boardwalk. Pax would toss it over and Flagler would toss it back.

Atocha, Santini, and Pax are diving into some new concept training with their trainers. After being inspired by some trainers in Mexico, a small group of trainers are seeing if the dolphins can recognize them by doing a specific behavior when the trainer in front of them asks “Who am I?” It’s in the very beginning stages but is sure to be a great thinking game when the dolphins become comfortable with it.

Flagler and Pax have been hula hooping through life lately as they learn to spin a hula hoop on their rostrums. Flagler has taken to it right away and rarely wants to play with a hula hoop any other way.
