Ace - Our new harbor seal family members have been thriving! Ace, Baby, and Cane have been inching around their new habitat, and getting great use out of their pools.
Aleta - Cayo and Aleta have been getting some "staycations" recently while their babies attend dolphin preschool at different docks.
Atocha - Atocha and Cacica can be seen (and heard) waving to guests in the back lagoons, always loving the attention. Their sound of choice recently has been their "seagull" impression.
Baby - Our new harbor seal family members have been thriving! Ace, Baby, and Cane have been inching around their new habitat, and getting great use out of their pools.
Blue- has been taking showers in his own personal shower. He really enjoys when guests are watching him and he shows off his tail. Ask him what he wants when he's outside and he'll say "Wanna cracker" or "Wanna come out now".
Bowie - This trio has been up to no good recently with Summer using a wubba to play keep away from Morada and Bowie. The kicker is, Summer doesn't usually like the toys unless her younger friends are chasing her.
Buck- has been working with his trainers to step into his travel carrier so he can easily transition to his outside habitat. He likes to tell people "Bye-Bye" even when they aren't leaving!
Cacica - Atocha and Cacica can be seen (and heard) waving to guests in the back lagoons, always loving the attention. Their sound of choice recently has been their "seagull" impression.
Calypso- will do anything for a treat! He enjoys being outside and talking to guests. He always tell them his name is Calypso. He says "Hi Calypso" which is what he wants guest to say to him.
Calusa - Everybody needs an escape from the kids, and these three ladies are no exception. Calusa, Pandora, and Santini have been in the back lagoons spending some quality time together. Although there is less commotion, Santini has not be dissuaded from being one of DRC's highest flyers.
Cane - Our new harbor seal family members have been thriving! Ace, Baby, and Cane have been inching around their new habitat, and getting great use out of their pools.
Cayo - Cayo and Aleta have been getting some "staycations" recently while their babies attend dolphin preschool at different docks.
Clyde - has been all the rave among his trainers. He is incredibly polite, and a very handsome sea lion. He has been enjoying his new home, utilizing his pool and "sun bathing" dock.
Delta - Ranger and Delta have become fast friends, often diving together even when one is asked to wait at the dock.
Diamond - Diamond and Lina have had a big change, welcoming Raleigh into their habitat! Raleigh has been quick friends with these two girls. They can all three be seen swimming and sun bathing together.
Diva - Diva and Luna must have a running bet on who can dive the highest and come back to the dock the most excited, because both of these ladies have been showing off both their athleticism and charisma.
Flagler - Flagler and Tanner have been working on their dive over behavior, where Flagler dives over his older cousin; Louie watches closely so he can learn too. With the sun beating down a little harder as we shift to spring, you won't miss Louie with his shiny head of sunscreen.
Gambit - Talon and Gambit hae been very brotherly. They swim and play together, with Gambit looking more like his brother everyday.
Gypsi - Tursi and her daughter Gypsi can be seen in the front lagoon talking to, cuddling and swimming with new friends everyday.
Jax - has rejoined his larger group of friends, and has immediately become everybody's close friend and confidant. Jax has been seen swimming around with everybody in between his sessions.
Lina - Diamond and Lina have had a big change, welcoming Raleigh into their habitat! Raleigh has been quick friends with these two girls. They can all three be seen swimming and sun bathing together.
Louie - Flagler and Tanner have been working on their dive over behavior, where Flagler dives over his older cousin; Louie watches closely so he can learn too. With the sun beating down a little harder as we shift to spring, you won't miss Louie with his shiny head of sunscreen.
Luna - Diva and Luna must have a running bet on who can dive the highest and come back to the dock the most excited, because both of these ladies have been showing off both their athleticism and charisma.
Merlin - only has eyes for Rainbow. He knows where she is at all times and if she is out of his sight, he lets out his loud bird call. Merlin likes to interact with his trainers and is very fast to learn new behaviors.
Merina - Merina has been the star of swims, continuing to show the younger generations how it's done, and stealing a kiss or two from lucky new friends.
Morada - This trio has been up to no good recently with Summer using a wubba to play keep away from Morada and Bowie. The kicker is, Summer doesn't usually like the toys unless her younger friends are chasing her.
Mr. P - has been inside chewing more wood than a woodchuck. He goes back and forth between his nightime cage and his retirement cage. He enjoys listening to Parrott Town TV.
Pandora - Everybody needs an escape from the kids, and these three ladies are no exception. Calusa, Pandora, and Santini have been in the back lagoons spending some quality time together. Although there is less commotion, Santini has not be dissuaded from being one of DRC's highest flyers.
Pax - Pax and Reese have been showing the public how genetics can play a role in dolphin size, showing off their bellies together. Our biggest and smallest boys right next to each other create quite the contrast, but that doesn't stop them from being buddies.
Rainbow - enjoys building nests when she is inside at night. Every once in awhile she lays an egg! Outside, she likes to go up on her highest perch and say "Hello" to guests.
Raleigh - Diamond and Lina have had a big change, welcoming Raleigh into their habitat! Raleigh has been quick friends with these two girls. They can all three be seen swimming and sun bathing together.
Ranger - Ranger and Delta have become fast friends, often diving together even when one is asked to wait at the dock.

Samantha - Samantha and Windley have a lagoon to themselves as their budding friendship takes off! They are currently in the "getting to know each other" phase while Windley teaches Sam all about her new family.
Sandy - Although Sandy's eyesight has diminished with age, Sandy's ears work perfectly. He can be seen waiting enthusiastically at his dock while his trainers are walking up for a session.
Santini - Everybody needs an escape from the kids, and these three ladies are no exception. Calusa, Pandora, and Santini have been in the back lagoons spending some quality time together. Although there is less commotion, Santini has not be dissuaded from being one of DRC's highest flyers.
Speedy - is enjoying special treats from the volunteers. His favorite is cooked sweet potatoes. Sometimes he has it all over his face. He is enjoying chowing down on the grass in his habitat.
Summer - This trio has been up to no good recently with Summer using a wubba to play keep away from Morada and Bowie. The kicker is, Summer doesn't usually like the toys unless her younger friends are chasing her.
Talon - Talon and Gambit hae been very brotherly. They swim and play together, with Gambit looking more like his brother everyday.

Ziggy - spent the last cold snap in the family bathroom with his heating pad. As soon as it warmed up, he walked by himself back to his habitat. He was so happy that he did a few laps and got a shower from the volunteers.

Imagine fulfilling your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) completely tax-free while also helping the dolphins! That’s what will happen when you make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA directly to Dolphin Research Center. When a QCD is taken to fulfill the RMD, that distribution is excluded from income, which then lowers your adjusted gross income. A win/win for you and Dolphin Research Center! For more details on how a QCD could help you and DRC, please consult your financial or tax advisor.
There are planned gifts that offer opportunities to secure income now for you and your family, help you benefit from current tax incentives, and also help DRC continue to provide the best care possible for our animal family well into the future.
You don’t have to have a large estate to make a meaningful arrangement for the future. Planned gifts of any size that are bequeathed to DRC can be made through wills, life insurance policies, retirement plan assets, IRAs, charitable remainder trusts, and more. Your financial and/or legal advisor will be able to provide you with the best guidance based on your wishes, needs, and status.
