Summer
Adopt MeGift Me a Bucket of Fish!
Keep working on my back tail walk.
Summer is having a blast practicing a new training behavior. She loves to show off her new forward tail walk.
When meeting a friend from Germany, Summer showed that language barriers do not confine her when it comes to making an impact on people. She doesn’t speak English or German, but a lasting connection was still made just by Summer, being Summer.
Aleta, Santini, and Summer have enjoyed playing with our dolphin camp visitors this summer! The older girls brought all of the presents and Summer surprised everyone by pulling a big floaty boat this year.
A common sentiment is that the dolphins do all of their behaviors for their fish, but for Luna and Summer, that is not necessarily true. Luna loves the creativity, and Summer loves the ice cubes!
Atocha, Santini, and Summer are very different in sizes and personalities but they remind everyone that even though you might be different from the dolphin next to you, you can all come together for something you love! For these girls that is diving- they love to show off separately but also as a group.
Summer’s 2025 Resolution: To convince the trainers that they can always give me another fish at the end of the day.
Being such an acrobatic dolphin, Summer is in training for both her front and her back flip. Since they are more complicated behaviors, it will take her a little while to get them down, but we think she will be great at them.
Atocha and Summer are in training for their front flips! It is always an impressive behavior but it takes a decent amount of time to learn. Hopefully, these girls will enjoy learning it and we will see them flipping soon!
Recently, Summer and Windley were given underwater signals from their trainer and they were so excited to dive when they saw that signal underwater! Trainers are always trying to come up with ways to be creative during a session.
Luna and Summer can get pretty excited and when they do, they love to go dive. During a recent swim with Ranger, they helped him become excited that they encouraged him to have his highest back dive yet!
Summer has always been an athlete but has been impressing everyone even more lately. She is always eager to jump, and recently, when a group of the girls were very excited, she out-dove Santini!
Summer, Cacica and Diva are moving into a new lagoon, which is always exciting. All of the younger dolphins have moved into one of the back lagoons. These girls are becoming familiar with a new lagoon without adults and realizing that they are the big kid examples now.
